Report: Nnedi Okorafor Officially Begins Work on Third Akata Book

The multi-award winning Sci-Fi and Africanfuturism writer, Nnedi Okorafor has officially started writing the third book in her Akata Witch series.

She made this known via a tweet Yesterday, the 6th of May, 2020.

"Heehee, I’m at it again. 😏
I’m officially working on the 3rd Akata novel. This is in between my other projects, but it’s alive and I can’t stop now until it is done. I’m in...and I know how it ends. 🤓📚🇳🇬✨

Details as to when the book will be due or the title remain unknown, but Akata fans are sure stoked about the announcement.

Prequels in the YA series include: Akata Witch (2011) and Akata Warrior (2017).
