Nigerian Publishing House set to Release 10 Free Poetry Chapbooks at once

Authorpedia, the publishing unit of Words Rhymes and Rhythms Nigeria (WRR) has announced the publication of 10 free poetry chapbooks slated for release on the 25th of September, 2020.

This is following the May 30 free publishing offer put out by the publisher, Kukogho Ireusiri Samson on his Facebook page.

The post reads: “I’m going to be reaching out to young poets with promise for FREE (chapbook) publishing for the next two months.

See you in the inbox.

EDIT: We will contact the poets ourselves but I welcome 3rd party recommendations. That is to say you can tell me about a poet (other than yourself) that you think deserves it.”

The box set of 10 chapbooks were guest edited by Nigerian poets Adedayo Adeyemi Agarau, Jide Badmus, Salihu Mahe and Shittu Fowora.

Featured poets and their respective collections include:

I TRIED TO SPELL YOU IN CLOUDS AND THEIR WATERS by Chukwudalu Abugu.
DECEMBER BEGINS THE NEW YEAR by Billyhadiat Taophyqoh Alaye.
A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO BE BORN by Divine Inyang Titus.
ICEBREAKER by Ehi Ogwiji.
SONGS WE SING BEFORE WE SLEEP by Iliya Kambai Dennis.
MY GRIEF IN A NUTSHELL by Korede Debruyne-llahi Kakaaki.
A SHEAF OF WHISPERING LEAVES by Martins Ghenero Deep.
EVERGREEN by Naimah Abdullahi.
REOPENING OF WOUNDS by Samuel Samba.
REBIRTH by Sarafadeen Ibrahim.

All 10 chapbooks will be available for free download upon release at their website.

Congrats to all the selected poets!
