Love, Literature & Film: An Event You Should Not Miss
Love, Literature & Film or just #LLF, organised by Book O’Clock Review is slated to hold on Saturday, 5th December 2020. Location: Sokoto.
Film and Literature are two art forms that forever contend against each other.
Literary enthusiasts say a book is always better, while film enthusiasts opine that films bring the words to life.
This December, we at Book O'clock are bringing this age long debate to the doorsteps of Sokoto residents and are inviting enthusiasts of both art forms to a love themed book reading and film screening event tagged, "Love, Literature & Film".
"Love, Literature & Film" or just #LLF is slated to hold on Saturday, the 5th of December, 2020 by 3PM.
It will feature the following:
1. A prior private reading of the selected book, which is the classic romance, "Everything Everything" by Nicola Yoon.
We will give you a copy of "Everything Everything" once you buy a ticket. You're expected to read it before the 5th of December.
2. A public screening of the adaptation.
"Everything Everything" was adapted into a film in 2017. We will screen it during the event on the 5th.
3. A debate on which did it best; the book or the film.
4. Love themed poetry performances.
5. Free photography.
6. Couple games... Lots more.
A ticket to #LLF costs N1,000 if you're coming alone. If you're a couple or bringing a friend, it's N1,500 for the both of you. Make your payments via bank transfer to the account: 0765029036, Access Bank and send your full name and receipt to 08183590971 (WhatsApp). Sales of tickets end next two Wednesdays, the 25th of November. That way, everyone has time to read the book.
Don’t miss this. Let’s celebrate the beautiful thing called love this December, in an artistic style. Our DMs on our social media are open for further clarifications, if needed. Sokoto people, this is for you!
