Call for Submissions

Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) is a global threat! It makes medicines ineffective, putting lives at risk. Now, it’s time to use your creativity to inspire change.

We are so excited to share that we are collaborating with the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Young Antimicrobial Resistance Stewards (UDUYARS) in curating a cross-sectoral Art Exhibition featuring the adoption of arts in the advocacy against Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR).

📅 Entries open: February 1 – February 16, 2025

Mode of Entry: Submit your 1-2 minute video on social media using the following hashtags: #AMRArtContest #FightAMR #CreativeForChange. Our team will acknowledge each submission and the top 5 submissions will be announced to compete for the grand prize during the grand finale.

Grand Finale: February 22, 2025, at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Auditorium, Main campus.

Time: 9:00 am

About AMR: Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) occurs when microorganisms, such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi, develop the ability to resist the effects of antimicrobial medications, making infections harder to treat. This growing global health threat arises from the overuse and misuse of antimicrobials, and can lead to severe consequences, including prolonged illnesses, increased mortality, and economic burdens.

Sub-themes your submissions can creatively explore:

  • The human impact of AMR
  • The role of antimicrobials in modern medicine
  • The consequences of AMR for global health
  • Innovative solutions to combat AMR
  • Other directions that revolve the theme and AMR

Be part of the movement! Submit your entry & let your voice be heard!
